Kyle Busch picked up his second win this week at the "World's Fastest Half Mile" in Friday night's Food City 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, bumping Brad Keselowski out of the lead with 32 laps remaining to claim his 10th victory in 20 starts this season.
Busch made a move to pass Keselowski for the lead entering turn one on lap 218 with Keselowski making contact with the rear of the No. 18 JGR Toyota as the pass was completed, sending Busch up the track.
“He took it for granted I would lift,” said Keselowski.
Quickly regaining control of his car, Busch returned the favor to Keselowski, bumping the rear of the No. 22 Penske Dodge causing the point leader to spin.
“He decided he’d just run in the back of me and put me in the fence," said Busch. "That’s Brad Keselowski, and I went down in the next corner and dumped him. He does it to everybody else. Why can’t I do it to him?”
NASCAR did not penalize Busch or Keselowski during the race. Keselowski finished 14th.
Jason Leffler finished second, followed by polesitter Elliott Sadler, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Carl Edwards.
Busch dominated the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event on Wednesday night at the high-banked Tennessee track and is set up for a possible triple sweep if he can win Saturday night's Sprint Cup Series race.
The next event on the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule is Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada.
