Rockingham Speedway Offers Variety In 2011

rockingham-speedwayRockingham Speedway will offer a variety of racing in 2011 with everything from Bandoleros to USAR Pro Cup on the menu at the state-of-the-art facility located in the North Carolina sand hills.



The fast one-mile high banked track will host the stars and cars of the UARA Stars Late Model Series and the USAR Pro Cup Series in the Carolina 200 on May 14. Both series will return to close their seasons in the American 200 double-header set for November 5. The Frank Kimmel Street Stocks also compete on the big track with the fourth-annual Polar Bear 150 scheduled to run November 26.


The Little Rock Speedway, situated next to the famed Rockingham Speedway, will host a seven race spring series for Legends and Bandoleros drivers beginning March 13. The series will run every Sunday through May 1, except Easter. The program on Sunday, April 17 will also feature the Carolina Late Model Series and the Allison Legacy Series will make an appearance during the May 1 series finale.


A 24-hour endurance race for the Chump Car Series, a class consisting of $500 race cars, will be held on the infield road course March 13-14.


“We have a great racing lineup for 2011,” said Rockingham Speedway President Andy Hillenburg. “With the series that we have scheduled and with the one-mile speedway, the half-mile Little Rock and the Chump Cars on the road course, there is something for everyone at The Rock in 2011.”
