Martin Fastest In First Cup Practice

mark-martinMark Martin, polesitter last week at Daytona, clocked in fastest during opening practice for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams this afternoon at the Auto Club Speedway.

 

Martin turned in a fast lap of 182,927 mph to best the 46 cars participating in the first practice.

 

Ryan Newman, Juan Pablo Montoya, Jeff Burton and Clint Bowyer were second through fifth quickest on the speed chart as the Sprint Cup drivers and teams prepare for Sunday's Auto Club 500.
