Could Bodine Make A Repeat of 08?

todd-bodineTodd Bodine heads into Homestead to defend his title.  The defending champion of the Ford 200 wants to end the season on a high note with another victory at the Miami speedway.

Bodine has 20 career starts in NASCAR’s top three divisions at Homestead with two victories in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

“Homestead-Miami Speedway is a special place for Germain Racing’s Copart Tundra team. We have two wins there and we clinched our championship there. I like racing at Homestead, I always have, and I’m looking forward to seeing if we can get the Copart Tundra one more win this year,” said Bodine.

Could it be a repeat of last year?  In 2008, Bodine won both the season opener, at Daytona, and the closer, at Homestead.  Bodine has the season opener win of 2009, and now with one race left it’s all in the air.

“To win at the season opener, and the season finale, that's definitely a great way to bookend the year. It was great to do it in 2008, and I certainly hope we can do it again in 2009,” said Bodine.

Bodine will pull double duty this weekend, driving the Smith-Ganassi, Smith Ironworks #42 Dodge in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
