Carl Edwards Claims Ford 300 Pole

carl-edwardsCarl Edwards circled the Homestead-Miami Speedway in 32.073 seconds during NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying today to earn the pole for this evenings Ford 300.

 

Ryan Newman, driving the #33 KHI Chevrolet, turned in a lap of 32.147 seconds and will start on the outside of the front row.

 

Jeff Burton, Joey Logano and current Nationwide Series point leader Kyle Busch round out the top five starters.

 

Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Brad Keselowski, Scott Speed and Brendan Gaughan completed the top 10 qualifiers.

 

The Ford 300 will be broadcast live on ESPN2 with coverage beginning at 4 pm ET today.
