McClure And Team Rensi Continue Relationship

eric-mcclureAfter a career best season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Eric McClure and Team Rensi Motorsports (TRM) have agreed to continue their relationship for an additional year.

“I’m excited about returning to TRM and it’s the first time I’ve been back with a team for a second year,” said McClure. “That’s a reflection on this organization and what they’ve done not only for me as a driver, but the character of the team. I feel like I have a home here with Ed, Gary,Ronnie (Russell, Team President) and all the guys. I have a great deal of respect for them because of how they’ve made everything work and the way they’ve treated me and our partners. We had an up and down year at the track but I feel like I’ve come a long way as a driver and I owe a lot of it to this team. I’ve been more competitive this year and we’ve closed the year pretty strong. I’m really looking forward to continuing to build on things at TRM.”

eric-mcclure“Ed, Ronnie and I could not be happier to have Eric, his wonderful family and Hefty® brand back with us in 2010,” said co-owner of Team Rensi Motorsports, Gary Weisbaum. “Eric made great progress during the season and we are really looking forward to getting back on the track in Daytona and continuing where we left off!”

After finishing 17th in the series point standings to highlight his career, McClure will also keep his primary sponsor, Hefty, for 34 of the 35 events in the 2010 season. In the lone race that they do not provide primary sponsorship (Montreal), Hefty will serve as an associate sponsor.

“I can’t say enough about how special our relationship with the Hefty® brand is and what it means to me personally, as well as the race team, to be able to continue our involvement with them.  The 2010 season will mark our fourth full-time season together, our fifth year overall, and I’m just so privileged that they continue to support our efforts in the NNS.” McClure concluded, “We’re looking forward to next season with them and all our partners at TRM.”
