Jason Sides crossed the finish line 0.160 seconds ahead of Tim Kaeding to win his first World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series A-Main of the 2010 season Friday night at the Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas.
“It was a great race,” said Sides. “Tim (Kaeding) was there the whole time and the track really got good and wide where you could run the bottom and the top made for a great race as well running up there. Legendary World of Outlaws competitor Steve Kinser always looks forward to racing at the Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas, a track where he has finished in the top-10 in each of his 14 starts at the high-banked 1/4 mile facility. Among his 14 consecutive top-10's at HRP are 11 top-fives, resulting in an average finish of 3.6 at the fast Texas track.
"I do enjoy running that race track and we've always had success there," said Kinser. "I'm looking forward to going back there this year. It is a short track, but it doesn't race like a choppy short track. It's a track that is nice and smooth and we got around there pretty well. It's a nice facility as well and a nice race track." Kinser garnered instant success at Houston Raceway Park, winning the first World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series A-Main Feature held there in 2000. |

Craig Dollansky won his first World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series A-Main Feature of the 2010 season Friday night at the Lone Star Speedway, holding off Steve Kinser to take the $10,000 victory.
“This is a great way to get this monkey that has been on our back off it,” said Dollansky. “This is a great team effort and we had to work for it. We started in the fourth row of the dash and when you can win races that way, it shows you have a strong team.” Steve Kinser, driving the Tony Stewart Racing Maxim, finished second to record his fifth top-five of 2010. |
